The role

What you'll do

✓
Write bespoke client documents
Create targeted, professionally written resumes and cover letters, and optimise LinkedIn profiles.
✓
Run strategy consultation calls
Talk with each client about what they want to achieve and their career history, paying close attention to skills, experience and achievements. This is a core part of our service, so please don't apply if you're uncomfortable with client calls.
✓
Work to a 3 business day turnaround
Deliver first drafts on time and provide revisions where requested.
✓
Research target positions
Make sure every document is optimised and targeted to the roles your client is going for.
✓
Work across career levels and professions
If you specialise in a particular space, we're happy to give you only that type of project.
About you

Your characteristics

Resume and career expertise

You know the most effective resume writing techniques and what hiring managers look for, so your documents stand out and win interviews. This expertise can come from a range of professional backgrounds.

Flexible and responsible

You choose assignments based on your interests and expertise, and deliver high-quality work tailored to each client's field. We provide proven guidelines and resources, with room to find the approach that suits your style and schedule.

Strong client communication

Most client contact happens by phone and online chat, so you build trust quickly, keep clients confident in the process and follow up consistently.

Comfortable working remotely

Our systems (Outlook, Slack and a custom CRM) run the order process end to end, and you're confident moving between them.

What we need

The requirements

Excellent written and verbal communication, time management and computer skills
✓
At least 1 year of resume writing experience, or 3+ years combined in professional writing, HR (hiring), career consulting or recruitment
✓
Familiarity with current resume formats, how applicant tracking systems work, and tailoring resumes to each client's industry
✓
The ability to produce excellent work independently, adaptably and responsibly
